This is the stern warning being sent from the NCRHA to the PSA and by extension its President Watson Duke.
This after it is alleged that a group from the Union body, tried to storm the compound of the Arima Health Facility, after it was learnt that Dr Gary Warner was abused by a psychiatric patient. In a release issued today, they said security was present and was able to quickly restrain the patient.
The authority stated that immediately following the incident, and during the doctors assessment by medical personnel, members of the PSA forced their way onto the treatment area and proceeded to take photographs. They were informed that photography is not allowed within the treatment area of health institutions as it breeches the rules and patient confidentiality.
However, the authority stated that the group became abusive and after being informed by security their that action was not permissible, attempted to initiate work stoppage.
The Authority stated while they understand the current industrial climate, it is improper to attempt to disrupt the provision of health care to the national population.
In relation to charges against the patient…..POLICE ARE AWAITING THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE before changes are laid.
