Hrithik In Agneepath Remake!

Its confirmed!!! Hrithik Roshan is confirmed for ‘Agneepath’ remake. Director-producer Karan Johar is all set to fulfill his late dad’s wish (a remake of the 1990 movie).

Amitabh Bachchan who immortalized the character Vijay Dinanath Chauhan with his National Award winning performance, will now be played by the very talented Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik is thrilled about the project.

Agneepath was directed by the late Mukul Anand. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a gangster named Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. Though the film didn’t work wonders at the box office, it acquired a cult status.

“My father often wondered why this film didn’t get the kind of commercial success it should have. He constantly told me, ‘Karan, we must remake ‘Agneepath’,” Karan is quoted as saying by a daily.

For the remake, Hrithik’s ladylove, might hopefully be played by Priyanka Chopra. Karan is in talks with some of the best in the industry for other roles. He will announce the names soon.

The movie will go on floors by early next year.
