$246.5 million US will go towards the improvement of the waste water sector.
This according to Acting CEO of WASA Gerard Yorke as WASA commemorated the signing of the historical loan agreement between the government and the Inter American Development Bank.
The event took place last evening at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Yorke explained the benefits these funds would bring.
According to Yorke the country’s waste water sector is in need of major development.
He says the funds allocated will improve waste water coverage for the entire county to benefit.
Meanwhile Minister of the Environment and Water Resources Ganga Singh outlined additional benefits of this initiative.
