One Man Protests Against Police Brutality

The function of the police is not to kill innocent people.

This was the view of Ishmael Samad who held a one man protest over what he described as ‘rampant ‘ police killings in front of police headquarters this morning.

If his name ‘rings a bell’, Samad is the man who was arrested in April 2010 after he damaged the gate of former Udecott Chairman Calder Hart outside his Cascade residence with a hammer.

Despite being denied permission to have his protest, samad said he was standing firm.

Samad said he was deeply concerned about what is going on in the country stating that police brutality has gone too far.

He said nothing comes from the investigations and individuals are forgotten.

Samad said he plans to intensify his protest as he believes the nation desperately needs help.
