1.25M Up For Grabs At Skinner Park

 The Grand Final of the 50^th Anniversary Independence Chutney Soca Monarch takes place this Saturday 18^th August at Skinner Park San Fernando.

The event, produced by Southex, is expected to have all the glitz and glamor of the carnival edition of the show with a spectacular fireworks display keeping with Independence celebrations.

JMC 3Veni and Melobugz will make guest appearances with performances by Premala Dance Academy, Shiv Shakti, Prema Shakti, Priya Kelley Dancers, Amritham Shakti and other surprise guest performances.

In a release issued today Southex CEO George Singh says thus far, Kenneth Supersad seems to be the one to beat as he has topped both the preliminary screening and the semi final round.

A total of TTD1.25M will be paid to artistes taking part in this special competition, with a first prize of $500K, 2^nd prize of $250K, and 3^rd prize of $150K.

All other finalists will take home $50K.

The order of appearance for Saturday’s grand final at Skinner Park are as follows –
