New Traffic Plan Disrupts Great Race Parade Route

Just one month after being implemented the new traffic plan seems to be causing major hindrances.
Business owners and taxi drivers have been constantly vocal about the negative effects the route has brought… now there is one more disruption added to the list.
This as President of the Trinidad and Tobago Power Boat Association, Garth Marshall revealed that Carib’s Great Race parade route had to be altered to facilitate the new traffic plan.
The announcement was made by at the launch of the Great Race at The Hyatt Regency this morning.
According to Garth all racers are now expected to gather in front of West Mall from 8am and proceed towards the Foreshore, then to Maraval parkway unto Ariapita Avenue which now allows all traffic to stream from west to east.
He says the parade will proceed unto Park Street then to The Hyatt Regency where all racers will congregate and rest and eventually end at Peakes around 6pm.
