Air Bridge Between T&T And Nigeria

Prime Minister Kamla Persad – Bissessar has indicated that the air bridge between Trinidad and Tobago and Nigeria is almost a reality.
The announcement was made today a special luncheon hosted by the Prime Minister at the Diplomatic Centre today to in commemoration of Emancipation Day.
The PM has said several issues were discussed with the president of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan including how both countries can benefit through cultural exchanges and the energy sector.
Also part of the discussions was the Chairman of the Emancipation Support Committee Kafra Kambonwho said he was also pleased with the outcome of the visit by the Nigerain President.
He said there has been a struggle over the years to maintain Emancipation day celebrations and their identity.
He however stated that good has come out of the visits to this country by various African presidents and is expecting the same from the visit from the visit of the Nigerian president.
