Ex-Crime Reporter To Appear In Court In The Morning

A 27 year old former crime reporter was arrested yesterday evening by officers of the Tunapuna CID at around 5.30 pm .

Sources stated that the former crime reporter was seen entering an apartment at Meade Street, Tunapuna and the officers followed him.

And on searching him they found a point 380 mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with eight rounds of ammunition, they also found two rounds of ammunition in his pocket.

The officers also search the apartment  which belonged to a 30 year old former security guard and the officers found four 12 gauge cartridge and one spent 12 gauge cartridge.

The ex-reporter who lives in Curepe is expected to appear before a Tunapuna magistrate tomorrow to answer the charges together with his 30 year old friend.

The ex-reporter  came into the lime light when he was arrested after committing a robbery along with three other men in the Five Rivers Arouca area in May.

And was subsequently slapped with several charges arising out of that incident and other robberies in which he was positively pointed out.

Those matters are pending before several courts
