More Water And Lights For Tobago

The Tobago House of Assembly promises a steady supply of water and electricity for the sister isle.

In a release, Tobagonians are to receive more water and electricity over the coming months.

In the coming months, Tobago will have a regular and more reliable service of these basic utilities.

Tha Chief Secretary Orville London explained that this undertaking will be at a cost of 2 million dollars.

The state-owned T&TEC will resume its street lighting and repair programme.

While WASA will commence a pipe-laying project and also replace unserviceable water lines along the western coast.

London indicated that the THA had paid T&TEC 995 thousand dollars to install 152 street lamps in 32 separate districts in Tobago.

T&TEC will also restore faulty street lights to working condition.

He also stated that WASA has  already begun to lay 573 metres of PVC pipe lines from Mt. Pleasant and all fields junction to Buccoo road.

Another 365 meters of lines will stretch from Guinea Grass to Bethesda and some 200 metres will be laid at Bruce Lane in Patience Hill.
