WIN Radio’s “Big Rich” Dominated Finalists Of Chutney Soca Monarch 2011

Zaheer ‘Big Rich” Khan and his Pungalunks Factory Production studio has again enjoyed the lion’s share of entries in the Chutney Soca Monarch Finals.

The list of 15 finalists was released today, with nine of the songs coming out of the Pungalunks Factory and produced by Big Rich himself. This follows his record-breaking year in 2010, when 11 of the 12 finalists had their songs produced by Big Rich.

Rich is also the host of WIN Radio 101.1FM’s Fusion Music Mix between 6pm and 9pm weekdays, and of the BMobile Big Rich Lime every Friday between 7:30 and 9:00pm!

The artistes who will be performing songs produced by Big Rich include defending Monarch Ravi B, last year’s runner-up Rikki Jai, Lalchan ‘The Hunter’ Babwah, Neeshan “Hitman” Prabhu, Terry Gajraj, Rick Ramoutar, Drupatee Ramgoonai, Anil Bheem and the BMobile Wild Card Michael “Soca Elvis” Salloum.

Other finalists include KI Persad, Vashanie Artie Butkoon, Sally Sagram, Adesh Samaroo, O’Neil Bhajman and Kenneth Supersad.

Rich says he is confident that just like last year, the top four at the very least, including the new 2011 Chutney Soca Monarch will be someone produced by the Pungalunks Factory!
