Mammoth Task For New NCRHA Board

The new North Central Regional Health Authority Board has the mammoth task of turning around the image of one of the hospitals under its umbrella; the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

The new board, headed by new Chairman Dr. Ashvin Sharma, was officially installed on Monday.

Jokingly in her speech, Minister of Health Therese Baptiste – Cornelis says many people may say she saved ‘the best for the last.’  She says though all boards installed thus far bring their own special blend to improve the health sector, the NCRHA board is very unique, as they have the majority of health institutions to manage. 

The board, led by Dr. Sharma, who is an Orthodontic practitioner and lecturer, was reminded that they must make customer service a focal point and the people they serve must be at the heart of everything they do. 

The New N-C-R-H-A Board consists of:
