A contract has finally been awarded for the runway lights at the Piarco and Crown Point airports to be repaired. Finance Minister Winston Dookeran says the next of kin of deceased public officers would receive one month’s salary. In this regard the government is seeking to amend the definition of ‘Next of Kin’ in the Statutory Authorities Bill.
